But what's going on overseas is of concern, Saudi Arabia is forming deals to sell oil to Russia for military support.

That was formerly the deal of the US and the basis of the petrodollar.

It's been moving in this direction like a glacier, some years ago Russia created a benchmark for their crude oil on the world's commodity exchange to sell oil in Rubles not dollars.

The Republicans are going to make a good show of it to try to Chip Away at the infrastructure bill but it will pass like it always does.

There's zero reason to ever default on debt when you simply can print the money.

Slowly destroying ourselves with inflation is definitely more appealing to them (in the particular method they're trying to reset everything) than defaulting.

It is kinda funny when you think about it

the debt ceiling was suspended by trump so that the US wasnt faced with this situation. In early August the ceiling was reinstated.

Its all a game in that they get to scare the shit out of Americans with this debt ceiling nonsense. Government gets to put all this fucked up shit into the new spending bill that will save America. In the end Americans are just happy the country didnt default but would then have to face whatever draconian measures and spending was put in the bill. All in a bipartisan way

That will never happen. But USA will eventually be unable to pay the interest on the debt.
