I am now, too.
It fluctuated a bit after it read "closed" but 12,099 seems to be sticking.

So, you think the dow's inability to even recover 10 points after yesterday's lost is a good thing?

Re: Let's watch the Dow...
commentary from Ed Downs:

"For now, look for the Dow to potentially build out a consolidation at lows from 12,000 to 12,350.

Range movement could be seen between these levels ahead of the next key move.

Continued overall selling is likely, especially as long as the Dow remains beneath the bearish upper trend line that now crosses at 12,500."

Re: Let's watch the Dow...
I know many people are concerned about the stock market and will be watching the numbers.
Thought I would start a thread for all those who are interested in keeping up with what happens today.

Would not watching the tele or perhaps the market channels be a wee bit faster to get the hubbub.

Some of us still have jobs and do not have access to a tv. I appreciate hearing what some people here have to say about all this, too. We've been getting a dozen or more threads every morning about what the dow is doing - I thought a preemptive thread might consolidate some of that.

Should not then, one at work, be working. Surly it is not by coincidence you work in a job watching the stock market.

As for time to watch the market. Work for long time, make enough money, and retire.
