Are things being set up for the final fall of Damascus and other profound events, with Taliban rule now in Afghanistan?

So I am watching current world events.

I am particularly interested in how they apply to prophetic scripture and what I see happening right now in the Middle east and Asia, I believe is a precursor to a lot of events that are about to transpire at a rapid pace.

Scripture alludes to the drying up of the Euphrates river in preparation for the way of the Kings of the East.

Other scripture details the total annihilation of Damascus prior to the end.

Still other scripture details how 10 kings with as yet no kingdom will give their power over to the Beast, which I believe is the UN with China as the driving force (signifying the scarlet color of the Beast) leading the charge and the Vatican Rome as the religious head being the whore that rides the Beast.

As is well know, the Vatican Governing body is called the Holy See, and it sits as a permanent observer on all UN meetings. It is also the only religious entity to hold this distinction. (This is important, because the bible identifies the whore as a false church as apposed to the Bride of Christ, which is the true church. Women are symbolic representatives of the church in scripture, both true and false.)

China is capable of staging a 200 million man army. Scripture says the Beast wishes to kill the whore and will utterly burn her with fire. (The beast is an end time coalition of nations, such as we find within the UN.)

With speculation, this tells us that the destruction of Rome happens at the hand of China and likely the Muslim Caliphate that Erdoğan seems so eager to establish, but I would think that Damascus must fall first.

It's no secret that China despises Christianity. In fact, they despise all forms of religion. They want people subservient to the state. The same can be said of Isam, or Muslims. They have no ken for Christianity.

I envision China making a pact with Islam to remove the Vatican from the picture with the destruction of Rome, but first Damascus and Assad must be toppled. Then Rome is taken down, at which point the Anti Christ will be revealed as sets up in Jerusalem.

Some speculate Damascus has already fallen. I am of the opinion it has yet to do so as long as Assad holds power.

In August of 2020, a video went viral on social media, showing men wearing Afghan attire in Istanbul, Turkey, unfurling a Taliban banner inside the Hagia Sophia, which had recently been converted by the Erdoğan regime into a mosque. The men shouted “Allahu Akbar” inside the once historical center of Orthodox Christianity, which lead the researcher Noor Dahri to opine that the gesture was, “a motivational message of the Muslim Brotherhood to the world’s Islamist extremists and terrorists”, adding that “soon, pro-ISIS activists will raise their flag too.”

A year later, as Turkey’s autocrat Tayyip Erdoğan seeks to form an alliance with the triumphant Taliban, one has to wonder if that symbolic act was more prophetic than anyone realized. Indeed, the line of predictive breadcrumbs strewn from the caves of Pashtunistan to the 1,100 gilded rooms of Ankara’s Sultanic Palace, provide ample evidence that Turkey will attempt to weaponize the Taliban into their latest takfiri proxy militia (à la ISIS), leaving terror in their wake and Turkish geostrategic gains amidst the turmoil. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, not Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, is calling the shots in Turkey today and is at loggerheads with the United States over the significance of the threat from the Islamic State (IS). He can do little, though, except vent his frustration, as Washington pursues policies in Syria that are at odds with his wishes.

Russia and Iran — two key powers whose influence in the Middle East also outstrips that of Turkey — are compounding Ankara’s complications. Both countries continue to oppose Turkey’s policies, which are predicated on the ouster of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In doing so, they have effectively upset Erdogan’s dream of leading the Sunni world, according to Turkish experts.

Russia and Iran may hold different positions from that of the United States with regard to the future of the Assad regime. Erdogan nevertheless faces a unified conviction in Washington, Moscow and Tehran that the priority in Syria today is confronting IS. It is little wonder then that Erdogan’s frustration over this state of affairs has begun to show.

Traveling back to Turkey from an official visit to Latvia on Oct. 26, Erdogan told reporters accompanying him on his plane that Washington was still noncommittal on the need to get rid of Assad.

“They have to erase this particular idea from their minds on the question of whether Assad will go or not. There is this mentality in the West: 'If Assad goes who will replace him?' But they are not bothering to consider that the person to come will be a person elected by the people,” Erdogan said. [More at link]

Now a note about the Euphrates river drying up. I am of the undecided opinion that that this reference may in fact not only referance a literal drying up of water, but also alludes to people in the region being sparse.

Take the following to see my line of reasoning.....

Revelation 16
12And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Now compare what the following scripture says about the waters the Whore sits upon to see where I am going with this and the conclusion that ties it all together in one manner or another, albeit unrefined.

Revelation 17
5And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

China wants world domination. Yet they do not want Catholicism in the way, which is the largest religious faction other than Islam. It makes sense that they would seek to strip the Vatican of any power to gain a hegemony on their global aspiration to be the the sole world Governing authority, but to get to Rome, they first need the aid of the Muslim nations in the region. Working in conjunction with one another they will take Syria, then Rome.

Then.....the Anti Christ sets up shop in Jerusalem. During some of this time leading up to this, the 2 witnesses will testify.

Big things afoot......I don't claim to have it all in order or right, just observation and speculation based upon scriptural prophecy.
