Movies and shows minus most the Original Series episodes. Although Discovery messed everything up chronologically, I'm caught up with all of the series including Lower Decks which, imho, is finally starting to get good. Can't wait for Strange New Worlds. Same exact here, even didn't watch original series. I am in the middle of rewatching lower decks season 1 before I start the new season. Season 2 is better Imho. |

Quoting: kdog82 Currently been catching up on Discovery. A common theme is it depends on who the director is on how good or bad it is. Still love the original series. Jonathan Franks (Riker) is my favorite and the best Star Trek director, imho. He directed most of the first season of Picard also. Not sure how many he did in season 2... But I will in a min. |

Flying around breaking the prime directive all the time and causing space wars. Well on a star ship, but back on earth most of the empty land are crops. Farming is an essential part of the future in the show. Technology makes everything else so easy. It's all make believe tho so there's really nothing to debate, BUT I agree if food replication came into fruition, everyone would be fat and lazy without regulations. Edit: Sorry I missed your point. Space Marxism... I don't disagree. |

Strange New Worlds should be the saving grace. A lot of hype about it. They have a real opportunity to gain new and old fans with this new series. I'm hoping they don't get woke and screw it up. Happens all too often, such as Discovery. |

He says it was the closet thing to his Dad's vision. He really like it. He's the current CEO of Roddenberry entertainment also. He made the comment that his father would welcome it into the Star Trek family. I think that means it's canon. It's all really up to him isn't it? I used to know the answer to this but forget, so I have to look up if the Roddenberry's have any control still. |

No I haven't very much....Scripts were good, just wish the it was a little more special effects\Sci-Fi professional and didn't feel like it was a PBS produced 1990's series..... Thats the thing I like. Sure they use the same sets over and over again but the acting and writing are good, the characters have their own unique personalities going and they are entertaining and believable. I hope that makes sense. My wife says "everytime I see you watching that its like they are sitting at a conference table having a meeting or something." I was like I know but the characters pull me in and the situations and watching them work as a team to get out of it. Last Edited by Grognak the Ballbareian on 09/12/2021 09:18 PM |

Quoting: Deplorableduckhunter We are living through a version of it. I liked TNG alot. I love how awkward Picard is in doing anything else beside being captain. My fav episode was the one where he lived a whole nother life in 20min, then he got that cool flute. Was almost in tears! I love how the "Picard" opening theme has elements of the song the son plays from "The Inner Light". Really beautiful. The show (Picard) itself...meh. Mola Ram did nothing wrong. |

Picard season 2 is about to start so 24/7 Patrick Stewart everything. You guys remember what the cbs logo is right? All Seeing Eye. And Paramount is of course a triangle depicting a mountain, with 13 stars ILLUMINATING it. Now put the CBS logo inside of that mountain. Watcha think? |
