The only thing I see wrong with the "useless chatter" - and I've engaged in it, too! - is that when you cannot come on board all day, every day, and go to check in, you've got to wade through sometimes many, many pages of useless CAT PICS or recipes, or ARGUMENTS about said items, to get to anything new or pertinent.

I get a little annoyed at it sometimes, so I get it - if someone is "sensitive" and cannot tolerate a few small distractions. It is hard to find enough time to get caught up if there are too many cutsie things to fly past....you can't just skip pages, in fear you'll miss something really important.

ETA: DON'T suggest I "start at the end and work backward to find the important stuff...." as that strikes me as odd. I don't read a book from the back to the front, and by the time I've worked backward, I might as well have NOT read anything "back" at all, as I've read all the new news!

So that's not an answer. Honestly, I don't know that there is an answer. Some folks LIKE "cutsie," some don't.

I see the agitation/disruption activity and I notice how trolling targets shift based on who they feel needs to be knocked down at the time. They succeeded in dividing the group and instigating conflict between factions that now exist due to their provocation, poking and prodding. They keep playing different angles: “This is a bullshit nothingburger!” So when we proved to them it isn’t, they adapted their method to “This is ssssoooo important that no conversation or peripheral discussion can be allowed!” The objective was to force “rules” on a very independent group of conspiracy minded people who hate being told what they can/cannot do. This would demoralize their target and assert control, discouraging researchers from researching over long hours, making overnight monitoring crew feel like giving up and force them all to “move on.” When all else fails they resort to aggressive behavior and personal insults…things like ridiculing my health condition (asthma) and general nastiness.

They’re predictable because of how they’re trained to create chaotic interference.

I always check the last page first because if something important happened, people will be quoting the original post and talking about it. If they aren't talking about a land slide then it's pretty safe to say that nothing life altering is happening.
