Day 70 - 4 days since Involcan has changed/updated a new SO2 level, which btw is currently less than 1/10th of the peak emission.

This is now the longest on-going eruption to occur on La Palma in 375 years..

Given all the talk about Dutchsinse falling out of favor lately, I decided to check him out this morning, and immediately thought of this thread. He believes that AI assesses and responds to certain (probably all) posts he makes on subscriber-only threads. Claims he posted something about a cat rescue fundraiser, or something involving cats (I didn't quite catch exactly what), and immediately had AI bots, who somehow accessed his mailing list used to alert subscribers to his posts, begin posting all kinds of negative things about cats - evil things allegedly. The algorithm just continued in this vein.

Wonder how many of the posters on this thread who were trashing cats way back when, are really AI - and can't be stopped? Dutch said that, having caught on to their game, he started posting about many and varied, innocuous, happy and positive things, essentially getting the same results. Apparently he thinks he's got them in a bind somehow, since the algorithm can't be stopped. He also got into the phoenix as it relates to the parade in Egypt and the "paw" he saw in the wolcano last night, but that's for another time. The parade supposedly took place the day after he commented about the phoenix paw.

It's not just the feline AI connection I've considered. What about our old friend the correspondent? I see his la palma vibe and signature verbiage on a couple of other threads too. Could it be an algorithm?

I hardly ever post, but wanted to share the cat "connection", especially since they're all over the map these days! And to say thanks for all your hard work, y'all. Been here since the start and still follow.

That is an interesting thought. I wonder why they would attack cat posts. It did cause problems and derail the thread for a bit though.

I guess I only thought the bots really only messed with political posts, but who knows.
