We went to all the other Canary Islands and they were lovely. Just horrible, so sorry to hear. I was watching Unknown Eagle on yt and he showed a magnitude 3.7 at La Palma but I think they downgraded it to a 3.2. Concerning and bears watching. Quoting: a passing cloud not that i look forward to a constant threat of 10-20 foot tsunamis....i'm in NYC. Wrong. Volcanoes collapse all the time (on a geologic time scale not human). La Palma is old with many fractures and those have been infiltrated by sea water. The flanks of the volcano are not really stable. La Palma has been greatly studied and they've crunched the numbers. And this could be a bad one. . |
