I think this verse in Revelation 18 is even more descriptive:

Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:

“With such violence
the great city of Babylon will be thrown down,
never to be found again.

This lull reminds me of a woman going into false labor & everything stops. Then 48hrs later she goes into real labor in the middle of the night & back to the hospital again.
Baby is born some hrs later.

Feels like we are now in the "in-between" phase of the birth of the eruption.

It would great if someone in that area sent up a drone to get some pics of how much uplift is happening?
 Quoting: simplify

Frigate birds have massive narrow wings, a gnarly pointy long heads/beaks, and shrink wrapped looking bodies that remind me of a minime Pteranodon.
I've never seen one closer/lower than 1000 yards, and only in the Canary Islands, though I'm not sure how wide a range the inhabit.

They are one of the few winged creatures that can thrive in those climes of near constantly high (35-50+ knot) winds common to the top and bottom horn of Africa, where you also find the ominous Albatros.

Frigate birds may be in the same family.
It is said of the Albatros, that they stay aloft 24/7 riding the constant high winds and even sleeping in flight, only coming down to earth briefly to mate and nest, and mostly only touching the water to snap up fish on the fly.

The Frigate birds will hover/park up high over the ocean, and when they spot a fish even one deep in the water,
they fold in their dinosaur wings and drop like a javelin straight through the water's surface at their prey.
I'm fairly sure that their narrow truncated wings even work like fish fins underwater, allowing them to chase down a fish over short spans.

Maybe the most powerful/aerodynamic high end consumer drones can handle 35-50+ knot winds these days?
But remember, if the wind is that strong at sea level, it is sure to be 2x to 3x that strong thousands of feet higher, above the Cumbre V volcano crater.

So if this happens, and the East coast is devastated... do we expect China to attack? Seems like a perfect time, defences would be badly damaged and not able to respond.

This might be some good news. Hopefully.

"The volume of the magma reservoir that is causing the current seismic activity on La Palma, is 11 million cubic meters (11 Hm3) which is equivalent to a quarter of the volcanic material emitted by the last eruption on the island, that of Teneguía, almost 50 years ago."

I'm here now, as a hardened dreamer with plenty of hits under my belt and as I can see others have on this forum. I've got plenty of signs the last couple of weeks to indicate something was coming, something eventful or BIG.
 Quoting: dreamborders.com

I don't know what your batting average is, but I believe you and a few other people in an organization dedicated to remote viewing (don't recall its name) have all seen something major and explosive-like occurring in the next several weeks.

If it weren't for that, I'd be way more skeptical about the idea of La Palma erupting and certainly causing a huge tsunami.

Volcanoes go off all the time, so that by itself would be no BFD to me. But if a volcano also causes a huge ocean wave, that would be another matter.

Also I'd like to add where I'm at near Ocala I'm 87 ft above sea level 50 miles inland right smack in the middle of the state.

I have no worries about getting hit by a 100 or even 200ft wave in relation to my property suffering inundation

Now, that fucker gets to 500-800 ft I'll be praying. But I just dont see how anything short of an asteroid or really big fucking piece of land could produce this.

Any mainstream news on this anywhere?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80879330

Not in the States.

Truthfully, people would go into full freakhow mode. TPTB may thin there will be less death and destruction by saying nothing. Then there is normalcy bias.
 Quoting: Ladye Jayne Smith

"If this earthquake swarm continues - and it is showing no sign of stopping, we could live through the worst natural disaster in recorded history.

Once the landslide takes place, the Tsunami would arrive along the east coast in about seven hours. But once authorities issue the warnings, highways will be completely jammed, people will be panicking to flee for their lives. Road rage will go Mad Max!

You cannot wait until authorities tell the masses. YOU have to be ready to get out as soon as YOU hear the landslide happened. That means having your car(s) gassed-up and ready to roll, with a "go-bag" of clothes, some food, cash money, and self-protection. You have to have cash money because New York City is the financial capital of the USA and if it gets wiped out, all the banks go with it. There won't be any credit/debit card processing -- anywhere in the country."
 Quoting: Randa 80678862

We have to go to Galveston this weekend to do some hurricane clean up on one of the beach houses.

I will be watching this, and we will head home if she blows. Maybe there won't be a tsunami, if so, maybe it will not be the 9 meter worst case scenario on the Gulf coast. I would rather have my kids laugh at me than have my family dead, or trapped in a coastal hellhole for weeks. I do not have preps at that house.

WE will obviously be taking back roads home. No way I will drive through Houston. If the Houston wildlife figures out what may be happening, they will be going violent batshit.

Mainstream Media is now covering this. Doom on?

Volcano alert on the Canary Islands' La Palma after almost a THOUSAND earthquakes are detected in five days

'An intensification of the type of seismic activity in the coming days cannot be ruled out,' the institute said.

A 2001 research article claimed a change in the eruptive activity of Cumbre Vieja volcano and a fracture on the volcano that formed during the 1949 eruption may be the prelude to a giant ridge collapse.

Authors Steven N Ward and Simon Day estimated such a collapse could cause tsunamis across the entire North Atlantic and severely impact countries as far away as North America.

I'd be ready to bug out at a moment's notice if I was bugging out, you guys. Cause at the first sniff of this thing popping off, EVERYBODY's going to lose their shit at once.

If you're already gassed up and packed and only have to jump in and drive, you're miles ahead of the pack, who've waited till the last minute to prep for the trip. Prolly gives ya an hour or two on them. That'll take ya pretty far inland (100 miles?). Prolly far enough, I'd say, depending on the topography of your area.

Personally, I'm inland FL, almost right in the middle of the state (tho not up near Orlando). I'm NOT planning on going anywhere. We are 60 miles from one coast, and 40 miles from the other, so I think (HOPE!) we are ok.

During the Fukushima Tsunami of 2011, the maximum wave height was 133 feet and it penetrated 6 miles inland. You all have evidence that La Palma could cause a Tsunami that penetrates 20-40 miles inland? Ocean City, MD would be hit hard but DC also? DC is 146 miles away from Ocean City, MD.
 Quoting: LeatherRebel

I think it would go a bit further than 6 miles because Japan had alot of hills almost right up to the coast where as places like my State in Florida has only landfills for hills.

However, with the way hydrodynamics work as the wave comes inland loss of energy and drag will do its thing and slow down and collapse the wave.

10 maybe 20 miles tops. Which is still fucking insane, but that's worst case.

Reuters now reporting on this. If CNN talks about it we'll know the eruption/tsunami is fake news

It said on Thursday there was no clear evidence for an immediate eruption, though warned the situation could evolve rapidly.

"More intense earthquakes are expected in the coming days," it said in a statement.

I would think a tsunami wave would continue moving until it "hits" land, where it has to crash, slosh, slow down as it moves through buildings/trees/etc.

So ALL shorelines would feel some effects. Obviously lesser ones further away and around land (such as the Gulf of Mexico which requires the water to move around the peninsula of FL). But N. AND S. America, as well as European continent, Mediterranean Sea and African continent would also feel some effects, no?

Since this is the only place I can say this and be socially accepted....

I had a dream of the Eyjafjallajokull eruption in 2010, the night before it happened. All I saw in my dream was a volcano erupting in winter.

I have not had a volcano dream since. But I have had many tsunami dreams.

Tsunami and other natural disaster dreams are common in "collective consciousness."

But I am telling you. I do not feel good about this La Palma island. I feel familiar and eerie and I do not like it.

You have to factor God in. You have to factor in historical biblical judgements and catastrophes, not just future Revelation ones.

Have we gone too far? Do we nationally (USA) deserve great judgement? Yes.

Would he spare if there are only 10 righteous men, like with Sodom? I don't know. Maybe.

Did Daniel and his friends get carried off to Babylon in the great judgement on the southern kingdom? Yes. Are any of us exempt? No.

Bottom line.....this volcano is a warning, a great and terrible call to repentance. I am just trying to do my own little part in that, I can only pray and confess my sins and the sins of my nation. And now I just wait.
