Re: Cumbre Vieja volcano post eruption phase! Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :)
Just a Rhetorical Question ... which probably means nothing:

WHY did so many Remote Viewers view THIS eruption, one that has gotten little press in the US?

There are bigger volcanic eruptions that happen around the world on a regular basis. There are other eruptions that get more press in the US. There are MANY eruptions where a fair number of people die (none here)

WHY did this particular eruption catch the attention of so many RVers, one that NOBODY has died in or even been injured (yet)?

Did so many RVers pick up on the beginning of this eruption because there is a MUCH BIGGER EVENT in the wings that is related to this eruption? A bigger event that they have not yet viewed?

The old Sherlock Holmes dynamic of "The Dog that did NOT bark" is something I seem to always notice in life. I have found that when things do NOT match up to what the expected norm SHOULD BE ... then something big is usually lingering in the wings, something I am just not aware of yet.

Normally I deal with people and companies and when this Sherlock Holmes dynamic shows up I tend to sit up straight and look again (this is how I have spotted fraud in companies in the past - and people Lying by Omission about very important things to say nothing about outright lying) and this just strikes me as a VERY ODD BALL dynamic for so many RVers to see a single event that is actually very small and NOT one that is even a moderate news item.

Just a Rhetorical Question ... for which I have NO answer. Just thinking out loud.

It's been ages since I've posted on GLP. But I've been following this topic since the beginning and I just wanted to share I have this weird feeling that the eruption will stop / slow down soon and while everyone will be cheering that this is over then the whole island will blow up.

I had this two weird images pop into my head last night while trying to fall asleep. On both it was like watching satelite photos In first I saw an ash cloud above whole island, huge cloud. In my head I heard a word "steam" though, not ash. In other image I was seeing the whole island disappear under the water. Completly gone. I know it sound stupid and it has nothing to do with the facts but that what I saw. Today I'm running on painkillers because I suffer terrible headache.

Alright, after that last big quake, it would appear that the flow of lava is increasing. Can anyone tell me what the live feeds of the lava look like?

Smoke/Ash?

Big pretty fountains?

After shocks, all very normal , no doom here
 Quoting: Levinyl

Yeah and after shock during an active event, sounds legit.
 Quoting: OutdoorsMan

Are you a scientist? or a seismologist? Because if not then maybe stop talking shit.

You u do realize there has never been a tsunami created by lateral collapse of a volcano?
 Quoting: Levinyl

In the early morning of 1888 March 13, roughly 5 km3 of Ritter Island Volcano fell violently into the sea northeast of New Guinea. This event, the largest lateral collapse of an island volcano to be recorded in historical time, flung devastating tsunami tens of metres high on to adjacent shores. Several hundred kilometres away, observers on New Guinea chronicled 3 min period waves up to 8 m high, that lasted for as long as 3 h. These accounts represent the best available first-hand information on tsunami generated by a major volcano lateral collapse. In this article, we simulate the Ritter Island landslide as constrained by a 1985 sonar survey of its debris field and compare predicted tsunami with historical observations. The best agreement occurs for landslides travelling at 40 m s−1, but velocities up to 80 m s−1 cannot be excluded. The Ritter Island debris dropped little more than 800 m vertically and moved slowly compared with landslides that descend into deeper water. Basal friction block models predict that slides with shorter falls should attain lower peak velocities and that 40+ m s−1 is perfectly compatible with the geometry and runout extent of the Ritter Island landslide. The consensus between theory and observation for the Ritter Island waves increases our confidence in the existence of mega-tsunami produced by oceanic volcano collapses two to three orders of magnitude larger in scale.

Germany has about 20 volcanoes that are listed as active in the area of the Laacher See caldera.

There is thought that future eruptions may occur in the Eifel

Each year the Eifel rises by about a millimetre.
Geophysicists found that crust under the Eifel is thinner than most continental crust, suggesting that under the Eifel is a hot zone where magma is rising.
Persistent small earthquakes and underground heating.
Map of flood lake that may happen if the Rhine is blocked by a voluminous eruption in the Eifel
In 2020, Professor Kreemer noted that Eifel was the only region within an area of Europe studied where ground motion happened at significantly higher levels than expected.[4] It is possible that such movements originate from a rising magma plume. This activity does not imply an immediate eruptive danger, but might suggest an increase in volcanic and seismic activity in the region.

In the last hours, the lava flows have been approaching the urban centers of Todoque town, part of Los Llanos de Aridane, located southwest of area known as Isla Bonita. Authorities have closed the roads LP-211 Todoque, LP-212 Tacande, LP-213 Puerto Naos, LP-215 Tazacorte-La Laguna and LP-2 at the height of Tajuya, in addition to the La Cumbre highway, LP-3, which is subject to restrictions.

The attached map shows the approximate extent of the lava flows as of this morning

Well...I was close. That first hill (a "mountain" at
about 365 feet elevation at its highest) is the one
called "The Mountain Laguna." I thought the flow might
flow to the east side of the little mountain but they
show it going between the 2 mountains/hills. From there
the ocean is ahead.

Are they giving a timeline yet for the lava reaching
the ocean? It's got a hike to go yet. If the prevailing
winds still hold for when it reaches the ocean the
forming gas/steam explosion will be taken DOWNWIND toward
La Bombill and Playa El Charcon. Those folks will need
gas masks or to leave the area until the air clears if
an explosion doesn't cause damage. Chief Farts Loudly
tells us that in addition to the toxic gas there may be
the formation of tiny GLASS SHARDS from the silica that
could be terrible for the lungs and skin. I wouldn't mess
around with that...

Thanks for posting that image. Is there a link? I'd
like to check it out.

hhe black lines n the map show the natural drainage which indicate lower elevations and will probably be the coarse that the main lava flow goes in. So it looks like south of the small mound created by a previous vent.

Revelation 8

8 -The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

10 - The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water

Revelation 16

18 - Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake.

19 - The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

20 - Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.

21 - From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds,[a] fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible

NOT GOOD.

Also for those budding scientitsts out there, to work out the height of a magma jet... start timing in seconds when it reaches the top of it's trajectory (upward speed 0).

Then, (we will ignore air-resistance and terminal velocity issues!) -
distance fallen in metres = 0.5 * 10 * (t*t)

so. if you time a rock taking 8s from top to earth-impact, its height was 5*8*8=320m.
