Quoting: condor819 Questions-- LJS you said tptb would move their watercraft away from the continental shelf..which direction? Would the wave be so high as to capsize a vessel or would they just bounce on it as it passes? Talking about if they are well out to sea. Lastly, how would the wave affect Europe and more specifically, the English Channel? I haven't heard much from any UKers anticipating doom. Thank you...  ing this as these are not random questions on my part...please if anyone can weigh on this I need to know.. CC, you can PM me if you have any answers. Thank you. Many of those who have supported the theory have indicated large waves for the south west England and Bristol channel with the Hinkley Point nuclear plants and storage facilities but also potentially affecting rivers, even the Thames into London. It could potentially envelope the entire UK and Irish coastline with 10-20m high waves in a matter of a few hours if the mega-tsunami were to happen.
