Crazy but it almost looks like a being with a flaming wing rising up.

Watching this eruption the past 9 days has been awe inspiring to say the least but it pains my heart the level of destruction that accompanies it.

It’s pretty amazing to watch earth change before our eyes. Thousands of years ago you had to present at the time of an eruption to witness this but today we have drones and super telephoto lenses and WiFi allowing us to stream all over the world. It’s pretty amazing.

We’ve gotten to see earth breathe, labor with expansion and contraction giving birth to new land and ultimately néw life from the remarkable make up of lava and how many nutrients it contains. The dark side of her has raged with anger and blown her top spewing magma destroying everything within its path. Once the dust settles and the smoke clears the life cycle will start again with vitality and fertile desire bringing rich vibrancy to the land as new life emerges.

While devastating and absolutely heartbreaking this is an amazing experience for us and our children to witness earths beauty, power, magnificence and the budding of new life.

It's not the lava falling into the sea that is the main concern. The real issue is that the entire side of the mountain, including a vast amount of land under the ocean that we are not seeing, is poised to slide into the ocean deep because of the volcanic activity. The west side of the volcano already slipped six feet during volcanic activity in 1949.

The displacement of the ocean water caused by the massive amount of land falling off the side of the volcano would cause a devastating tidal wave that stretches all the way from Greenland to South America. Predictive analysis shows the entire east coast of USA could be hit by a wall of water up to 75 feet high. That's the main issue.

The sea must getting rough the way that cam is bouncing around.
