That depth is around 300 miles deep. Man...

There is a disturbance in the core IMHO to be antepoidal
to the volcano--might have to do with an extreme earth-
wobble we are having now...or something else.

Ben Davidson at Suspicious Observers has some really
great graphics on the locations of many of Earth's
lava pools below the surface. Wish I could find that
video he did. Dang. I thought I bookmarked it or copied
the URL address...but doesn't look like it.

In the graphic you would have been able to not only
see the lava reservoir that La Palma's volcano is
sourcing from...but the antipode below that...If anyone
has that graphic it would be a cool time to share it.

So this hit in japan right after the 7.3 hit...also over 500 km deep but only a 5.8. Making me nervous!

That will be at the depth where olivine spontaneously transitions to spinel due to pressure; the earthquakes are due to the volume change. There's an even deeper zone where spinel turns to perovskite (around 600-700 km), but the subducted slab has usually turned ductile before that happens, so I believe you only get those rarely, in very high-speed subduction zones... but I'm getting rusty on this, now. Haven't studied it for a couple of decades!

Sooo, Dutch just gave his short update. Not a full one, just spoke about what just occurred in the Pacific region. First to note is Don't be scared, just be prepared.

(Big) Deep quakes below the plates will cause a more shallow, larger magnitude along the plate lines of least resistance within approx 7-10 or even up to 14 days after the event. Always taking a look at his spinning globe, he has path of movement arrows to follow where the energy will go.

Thinking that this wolcano still has a long way to go before the bang/zoom. It may have more growth and maturity before that happens and hope it doesn't.

Dutch is uploading this recent 2AM update to yt soon.

Dutch says to keep an eye on South EU area for biggies. The energy will most likely go thru China and make its way to the European area from there. Guess that is when the real doom will be.

So, this guy is up 2AM CT to report on the deep quakes. Obviously, something significant happened.

Earths dynamo isn't a stable running machine. When the hypothetical planetoid Theia collided with the young Earth (which resulted into the creation of the moon) the Earth axis tilted and the fluid metal dynamo became a bad hit.

And like an chaotic gyro the dynamo can change spontaneously, what's the reason for geological pole shifts (if they really happened in the past).

An earthquake in 300 miles deep could mean the dynamo is changing it's configuration. It could even happen the axis is rear up again what would lead to a loss of the Seasons. Would be cool, no more winters and sommers, just always constant temperatures at the Latitudes.

But could also happen the axis, which is currently at 23 degree, could change into 90 degree. That would mean half side is always in the light, and the other side always in the dark.

Those are the extremes, anything between is also possible if the dynamo changes his configuration very strong.

I’m also only about 20’ above sea level and 700’ from the ocean but in the Pacific. Though La Palma may not affect me, some of these other quakes may. Thankfully, they finally got our tsunami sirens working again today!
