Cumbre Vieja volcano post eruption phase! Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :)

They still haven't given that volcano a definite name. There seem to be two options.

I thought it interesting that the article stated "This source, a scientist, suggested that high energy radio waves being beamed at great intensity at the volcano, might cause a similar visual effect. Of course, that could mean that mankind is involved..."

I'm not making any claims about the accuracy of the article, but I'd consider it a good thing that information is being posted.

Also said "There will likely be NO WARNING if the mass landslide happens and the Tsunami has been generated."

This is also used by TV Canarias, right? And probably a few more.

So this person has a top notch high end camera yet he consistently REFUSES to either focus, apply an appropriate filter, showing us the wides possible angle. None of that.

This operator for whatever reason also tends to get obsessed by small details somewhere on the mountain where nothing really is happening and in the meanwhile all hell breaks lose around him.

Even now looking at the feed I can't help but yelling WHY DON'T YOU FOCUS!!!!

But how are our governments, authorities planning on warning us when / if a tsunami does happen?

As far as I know we have nothing here in Essex, UK... apart from my handheld air-raid siren.

In our village in Czecho every street has at least 3 loud speakers where central council can announce events, sales, hazards etc etc

Edited to add they also have a HUGE village air-raid siren for emergencies

Wiki is generally worthless to perhaps you or I, but laypeople might find that explanation useful enough.

You'll drive yourself insane trying to explain the dynamics of this to ordinary people -- no offense to ordinary people.

The quartz and uranium (especially the quartz) could absolutely be responsible, but good luck explaining piezoelectric phenomenon here.
