I don’t see how any slide wouldn’t expose the whole system to massive amounts of seawater and blow the whole island off the map. That would be the MegaTsalami.
 Quoting: HundredthMonkey

Your slide isn’t deep enough. You have this small issue.

Displacement is a key issue.

But so is a crack under sea level.

New Earthquake on top of the ridge
3.7 Mag
11 Km depth

[link to www.ign.es]
 Quoting: Economic Prepper

Every single mid to upper 3...was 13 to 14km deep, this is the first larger EQ at 11kn depth
 Quoting: The Cure

I think there's a lot of pressure built up right now. Quakes will become more intense as they get closer to the surface
 Quoting: Economic Prepper

If there were pressure build up…. We would see it in larger volcanic earthquakes like MSH explosion that caused the 5.0.

Most of these are just magma finding it’s way and being pushed into the system. Or gas explosions or expansion.

In 1949 the southern volcano on the island erupted. During the eruption an enormous crack appeared across one side of the volcano, as the western half slipped a few metres towards the Atlantic before stopping in its tracks. Although the volcano presents no danger while it is quiescent, scientists believe the western flank will give way completely during some future eruption on the summit of the volcano. In other words, any time in the next few thousand years a huge section of southern La Palma, weighing 500 thousand million tonnes, will fall into the Atlantic ocean.

Can you imagine if this one slides and takes out all the ports on the east coast, while at the same time the Hawaii Hilina slump goes and takes out all the west coast ports?

I'd think it was a silly imagination if it didn't sound just like the bible and the end of Babylon/USA.

Could the area you are referring to be a magma chamber, just as easily, though? The magma rises up into the chamber, hence the very low seismic activity and then exceeds the chamber limit and rises to the vents, toward the surface, hence the “shallower” seismic activity. I am not an expert, but this is an interesting subject.
I’m not sure what geological processes would be necessary to cause delamination of the lithosphere, but I read a little on how they can test for it. I don’t believe they have performed those tests in the La Palma area, but maybe? There is an area of delaminated lithosphere not too far away from there, in the Rif and Alboran sea. The North China Craton is also an area of delaminated lithosphere that has started to show signs of melting. The NCC delaminated back in the Mesolithic era, I believe.

I don’t know, just trying to understand.hf

Right now the science and eyewitness observations don't tell me enough.

Since I believe that good - again, good - legitimate precogs or psychics tap into an obscure form of quantum physics, I want to know if they're sensing anything right now that makes them more queasy or alarmed than normal.

If not, then the story of La Palma is going to remain one of a lot of smoke, noise and lava flows. But - as with the volcano in Hawaii a few years ago - it will eventually peter out and lose its spot in the news cycle.

Old Scots up north called it ‘the seeing’.

This is the first thread I’ve felt the urge to make an account for, been watching glp since 2005, if that means anything. I see it as the first actual possible real problem I’ve ever read about in terms of earth changes etc. Might mean nothing but who knows.

What has and continues to be one of the most bothersome is several observations:
-Media blackout
-USBS not reporting on that area and their recent Tsunami update to their handbook in March of this year.
-Those vulconolgists who did much research on the island such as Day, Ward, McGuire and others who are not providing their expert opinions at this time when they are the ones who should be all over this.
-Bouys providing info are not transmitting properly or at all.
-And......Those Georgia guidestones still stand with the agenda written in 12 languages.
