The Cumbre Vieja volcano is not over because the EQs do not stop and the eruption continues.

The amount of lava in the reservoirs, 30 km, 14-20 km, and 7-4 km below the ridge, is enough to keep the volcano spewing until Christmas. Or not.

It all depends on the amount of gases accumulated in the lava, and on the internal energy of the fluids, which "want" to come out, to balance the pressures.

The EQs are significative because everytime the volcano changes its patterns of EQs, there's a change in its behavior: but correlation is not causation
