M 6.5 - British Columbia Earthquake has been deleted.
2021-09-06 21:17:25 (UTC)
52.719°N 127.579°W
15.0 km depth

This alert was falsely generated by an automatic system. It was quickly confirmed to be false and manually deleted. This false event was the result of two separate earthquakes (one in the western Aleutians, one in southeast Alaska near Yakutat) incorrectly being associated with a single origin. While rare, this does occasionally occur. Additional checks have been put into place to reduce the chances of this happening again.

Glad you shared this. I was listening to a show and they were speculating that it could of been a small yield thermonuclear device wiping out some hidden cache there.

Like the 7.0 at china lake a few years ago.

There is a silent war going on!
