If the baby is 1 year old you can start weaning off formula, start diluting the formula with your choice of milk, first a little at a time, then the next week do a little more until it's mostly milk, then eventually all milk. My kid had awful colic and we had to start formula when my milk dried up, he was 6 months old. By 8 months we started diluting the formula with 2% milk (whole milk was recommended but it was too heavy for my baby's stomach) and by 1 year old we were done with formula. You could use almond or oat milk if cow milk doesn't agree. Most babies can be done with formula by age 1. Also start introducing table food asap. You can make your own baby food by getting an inexpensive grinder. All babies are different so maybe just try some other things to see what works for you. I am so sorry you have to go through this, it's coming to us all. We are all beholden to the system in some shape or form. Prayers for you sister Im a man, and a father of 5...and we all live together, and I am active in each of their lives, including my wifes. Not being a schmuck, but quite a few posts ask why I don't breastfeed. I guess, because I havent claimed that Im a woman, with a ding a ling yet, and we live a conventional family life.
