Who's an alcoholic here?

I'm a disabled vet and I own a business and can drink when I want.

I'm having a couple cold ones today before my daughter gets home.

Then we have homework.

It's all in a day.

Me, I drink every day, 8 beers if I'm taking it easy, 12 easy on the weekends. 10 on average during the week. I drink Ultra, so at least I'm not packing on a ton of beer weight. I'll go on the wagon at point for months if not a year. I think a poster above said it best, bored with this mundane world.

12pk beer/day. I feel much better now than when it was 1/5 of vodka/day, though. I don’t wake up at 3am shaking with soaked sheets, anymore. Liquor is evil stuff.

I've been all over man. That was 15 years ago though. And I dont want to talk about it.

Now I'm a dad and I build home theaters for a living.

I'd much rather talk about that.

No alcohol. Drank every evening for far too many years, decades.

Now I regret that. Not just the internal struggle to not be subservient to a chemical that provided nothing positive in my life, but all the time, energy, and effort that was wasted.

It's a loser's choice of pretending to have a good time.

I will roll a bowl however. At least that substance serves a tenable function with positive benefits in moderate occasional usage.

Nothing about this life is easy.

For some being to say I didn't worship him enough bothers me.

So I take care of my kids and my wife, and I enjoy myself with a few beers, and he can judge me however he wants.

Just eliminated the one substance that was to my detriment.

The other has long standing proven medical benefit, but can be disastrous without adhereing to moderate dosage. That's what prescriptions are for.
