I NEVER thought I would kinda sorta agree with Uncle Gintel.
But here I am.
I think this situation calls for some serious "Home Alone"
type retaliation,
But shooting through a wall at an unknown person outside?
No. Not for me. I'd go check the dude outside, armed, and
dispatch if necessary.
I know a chick probably would not be comfortable with that,
and rightly so.
But blast away?
I think not. Call a man friend to help or the cops.
Be ready. If he breaks, enters, etc, BLAST AWAY.
Not blindly through a wall.
