Strawman bullshit. This is about trespassing. But for HIS actions trespassing on another's property, he would still be alive. Full stop.

I got my gun out, I called 911, I was terrified but I was willing to use the gun in self defense if necessary. But I would never try to shoot a fucking peeping Tom, FFS. You are obviously arguing with a person who has PTSD, is triggered by this story and is incapable of recognizing that even in Texas, castle doctrine has limitations. I told the story about my niece serving 6 years on page 8 I think. If she had not pursued the man who had drugged and raped her, castle doctrine would have protected her. A good lawyer probably could have gotten her off the aggravated assault charge, but she had a court appointed attorney. Good info. Sorry to hear about her situation. I was able to see the perps who broke in and then ran away....I didn't shoot. If you're going to have a gun, I think you really need to meditate on how, when and if you'll use it. It's a serious thing. I would be heartbroken if I had to kill someone, for any reason. But I would do it under certain circumstances. Yeah some people really should not be allowed near a gun let alone allowed to own one and the idiots in this thread prove that perfectly.
