I am a firefighter. I can tell you that if they mandate it for firefighters, you will lose at least 50% of whichever organization is forcing it. Lots of firefighters and police aren't having it. Should be interesting when 911 has a 45 minute wait time for any call. I guess that's what they are hoping for at this point isn't it.
