At 15, kids (and the adults that want to use them) may think they’re old enough to consent to sex. Think they are fully aware of the implications and future consequences. They aren’t...and people that think or say they are, are idiots.

Sex has much further reaching, life long consequences than say, buying a house, car, even drinking and smoking. Yet all of those are illegal for a 15 year old. Do you think a 15 year old is responsible enough to buy a house or a car. Hell they can’t even adopt a dog at 15. Yet some idiots think they have the mental capacity to understand the consequences of having sex. Kids live for the moment they don’t think about the future. They see, they want, to hell with anything else.

How old were the men, I mean I had sex with a 15 year old when I was 14, we both consented every time we hooked up, were we legally allowed too? In most states yes and each state has a different age of consent.

Washington is 16 allowed age diff if the person is under 16. 2yrs (if victim is < 12), 3yrs (if victim is < 14), 4yrs (if victim is < 16)

So in Washington a 14 year old can legally have sex with a 12 year old. Virginia a 15 year old can have sex with an 11 year old, that's pretty messed up.


Also most States have changed the age of consent in the last ten years do the problem with teachers having sex with kids.


So at the time this happened and where it happened it may have been legal.

In almost every state the age of consent is 16 or 17 i.e. lower than for all those other things. A girl customarily becomes a woman at 15 in latin countries. I think I heard of 14 in one latin country. You can say someone broke the law for doing it too early for that state or jurisdiction, but I wouldn't call someone who had sex with a 15 year old rather than a 16 year old a pedophile.

Agreed. A 15 year old and 19 year old isn't pedophilia, it's dumb, out of the norm, and straying into a dark gray area. But, any man over 21 engaged in sexual activity with anyone under 16 has strayed is a deviant and the scale slides quickly upward in terms of offense.

And any man north of 21 shouldn't be engaged with anyone 16-18. When it's a 21 year old and a 17 year old it's definitely a gray area, but hardly sexual assault if both parties are of sound mind and consented.

15 is nearly indistinguishable from 17 which is the legal age in most states.
