Why would a 36YO hood want to end a cops life and then his own? Is the thug life so entrenched to hate the cops that he would draw down on a cop? Goodness. I wish the hoods would learn how to be decent human beings and live within the bounds of righteousness. Then maybe their lives would be a lot better than what they currently are.

And yes, they are so entrenched in hate. Some groups of people in this world believe they are constantly at war. The 'hoods' you mention, believe they are in a constant war. Only one thing will change them, their own choice. They have to choose to change, to want to change.
