Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
...

What are some specific things that would make it very difficult in those places?
 Quoting: Butch DeFeo

I live in Las Vegas. My ex-wife has primary custody of our daughters and I will not leave them nor will I .....

anyway ....

before thanksgiving I foresee there being a federal declaration, whether it be from the white house, the cdc, the tsa, the nhtsa, whomever, that 'closes' the federal interstate highway system (the 'eisenhower interstate highway system') to all but those with essential travel (truckers hauling freight), military, government, and those with special travel documents (immigrants/the sophisticated elite). the states will be expected (pressured/coerced) into stationing state troopers at the entrance ramps to these highways. at the same time interstate air/bus/rail travel will also be stopped with the same exemptions.

state governors will take this as incentive to also stop air/bus/rail travel within their states and then station troopers on the highways and larger roads that cross state lines but don't fall under federal authority, leaving only some of the smaller crossings open.

for me and my daughters that will mean turning a relatively short drive out of state into an hours long odyssey over roads that aren't necessarily always well-maintained.

not impossible, just harder.

same could be said for those that live near the mississippi. it may mean a few hours added travel just to find an open river crossing.

if you're still in hawaii, since there is absolutely no road outlet, you're fucked if you don't currently have a plane ticket out or own your own boat.

at least that is my interpretation of where this is heading.
 Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder

Yes, the closed interstate has already been proposed in MSM news. I bet you're correct.

kinda off topic, but do you know what is the hardest thing in the world to do? get a nevada government official to stay on the phone with a state resident, i.e. constituent, after that resident says, "For reasons of openness and transparency in government, this call may be recorded and shared."

I've called all levels of 'government' that oppresses me, from city to state, and have been hung up on by all.

When I have relented and tried to get answers without recording i have tried asking, "what is the end game? where does your plan of action lead to?" the only thing coming from government is passing of the buck ("don't call us, this is a federal mandate" "but the state/county/city is the enforcer of this mandate" "but we didn't write it") or platitudes ("sir, sir, it will not come to that. you are being given a choice. if you don't want the 'vaccine' you can always opt to be tested, instead. there's nothing to worry about, trust us.") or lies and ad hominens ("i've had five family members die! and you're asking for proof the virus exists!?!" "yes, and did your family members die FROM or WITH covid?" "do you want the death certificates? i can send them." "please do." "now, you're just being unreasonable and crazy. I'm going to hang up now.").

long rant shortened, the government stopped being "of the people, by the people and for the people" a long time before Lincoln uttered those words and whatever you can imagine as the worst possible outcome for any event involving government has already been think-tanked, war-gamed, and focused-grouped to the point where they knew you would think of that scenario before you even knew of the crisis they would exploit being real and causing you to have that thought.
 Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder

Thinking that your captors (govt) will set you free is part of the problem. There is no longer any rule of law or social contract in the US. The constitution is meaningless and the sooner we all understand that the better off we will all be

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
Things will get much worse. Much much worse, in terms of government overreach At least half of the US will remain unvaccinated. The reason that the tyranny reaches a crescendo during the winter is that people will be more focused on survival and less on taking up arms. This works for both sides, but more so for survival of humanity. It gives people time to wake up. No army wants to fight a winter war with people who are prepared for winter survival.

My brothers and parents want to move to Vietnam or Mexico, or Panama. This is the Titanic, I have dual citizenship and have assylum papers ready.

I'm glad for you, at least you have a way out.
Most of the founding whites are going to be stuck here unless they are rich.

And the rich may find escape cut off quickly like the Soviets did with the wall.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79720396

If I was an illegal I would not accept citizenship right now if they still make you give up citizenship in your home country.

Lose your escape option and don't gain many benefits.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76722105

The USA doesn't make you give up a former citizenship, but many countries will cancel your citizenship if you become an American. Right now, there's no safe place in the world, and at least you know where you already are.

It's called "home field advantage".

In former times, you could find a bolthole elsewhere. Today, I'm not so sure.

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
I live in WA state. We just bought our first home. Then the mandate was announced.. I’m 28 and just spent all our money buying the home.. but now we’re talking about moving to Montana.

We made it a plan to move to Montana in 1 year.. hear they have some good rockhounding hell yeah brother. But anyways, wish us luck.. my girl works healthcare and has to write up an exemption… I’m a contractor working in homes but luckily only 4 people in my company.

This is beyond ridiculous. I lose sleep at night, and we are stressed out every day. It’s a nightmare living in Washington. So many fake conversations and I have to make sales so I have to be nice.

I can’t live here that much longer. I’m ready for a real community and real people to live around me. Montana bound. Hopefully spring won’t be too late.

Things are moving fast.

Save your money for rainy day my friends.

The current covid states like Florida and Texas are depopulating rapidly and are likely to stay that way so your question is moot

Blue states will become the best states once everyone dies from the clot shot since most in blues states have it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78781931

A very red area in a blue-purple state will be the best

Blues will die off ... prices and rules relax (no one to enforce them left)

Neighbors in your red area still LIVING & WORKING together

That’s what I’m looking for

And less snow than where I am - in a 3/4 blue voter area that say they aren’t liberal but go along with the unions

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
I put too late. I know that interstates is in question of being limited travel. Nothing has been done with the tyranny. We have numerous amount of non US citizens taking our country that they (DS) are housing and supporting. Housing market through the roof. As we see in Cali. Elections is over and there will be no Elections in 2022. I believe we haven’t seen the worst yet and by spring we’re all gonna want a rock to hide under and no there will be no rock. I sure wouldn’t wait.
