Never thought I'd consider moving to Alabama, but I want to be in the lowest vaxxed, reddest state possible.

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
If you haven't already moved you are late to the party.

But if you can't move to a red state - move to a rural red county in your blue state and find out who the sheriff is and what he will and won't do.
The main thing is to get out of any city or urban area - those are the place they will try to lock down and control because they are population dense and they get the most bang for their buck there. In rural areas they will only get the bang.

This is all going to come down as an enforcement issue for them. The Rural areas of the US are Big. Really Big. Policing them - with an armed populace not willing to be policed - is going to be very difficult. Individual counties are already trying to secede in some blue states.

If possible self-employ or get a job with an employer that won't follow the rules, in a county were local authorities will not enforce the rules, and may act to prevent state or fed authorities from imposing the rules. Accept that you are going to be poorer than you are now . Trust me, you can be poor and happy. If possible buy a small (800-1600sq ft) house on 1-5 acres - with its own well and septic. The more self-sufficient you can make yourself ( solar power, garden, animals) the better off you will be and better able to resist when the time comes. They may win, but at least you live free till they show up in your driveway.

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
yes, not that it will be completely impossible, just very, very, very difficult in a lot of places.
 Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder

What are some specific things that would make it very difficult in those places?
 Quoting: Butch DeFeo

I live in Las Vegas. My ex-wife has primary custody of our daughters and I will not leave them nor will I .....

anyway ....

before thanksgiving I foresee there being a federal declaration, whether it be from the white house, the cdc, the tsa, the nhtsa, whomever, that 'closes' the federal interstate highway system (the 'eisenhower interstate highway system') to all but those with essential travel (truckers hauling freight), military, government, and those with special travel documents (immigrants/the sophisticated elite). the states will be expected (pressured/coerced) into stationing state troopers at the entrance ramps to these highways. at the same time interstate air/bus/rail travel will also be stopped with the same exemptions.

state governors will take this as incentive to also stop air/bus/rail travel within their states and then station troopers on the highways and larger roads that cross state lines but don't fall under federal authority, leaving only some of the smaller crossings open.

for me and my daughters that will mean turning a relatively short drive out of state into an hours long odyssey over roads that aren't necessarily always well-maintained.

not impossible, just harder.

same could be said for those that live near the mississippi. it may mean a few hours added travel just to find an open river crossing.

if you're still in hawaii, since there is absolutely no road outlet, you're fucked if you don't currently have a plane ticket out or own your own boat.

at least that is my interpretation of where this is heading.
 Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder

Yes, the closed interstate has already been proposed in MSM news. I bet you're correct.

DOOMSTREET
 Quoting: Butch DeFeo

kinda off topic, but do you know what is the hardest thing in the world to do? get a nevada government official to stay on the phone with a state resident, i.e. constituent, after that resident says, "For reasons of openness and transparency in government, this call may be recorded and shared."

I've called all levels of 'government' that oppresses me, from city to state, and have been hung up on by all.

When I have relented and tried to get answers without recording i have tried asking, "what is the end game? where does your plan of action lead to?" the only thing coming from government is passing of the buck ("don't call us, this is a federal mandate" "but the state/county/city is the enforcer of this mandate" "but we didn't write it") or platitudes ("sir, sir, it will not come to that. you are being given a choice. if you don't want the 'vaccine' you can always opt to be tested, instead. there's nothing to worry about, trust us.") or lies and ad hominens ("i've had five family members die! and you're asking for proof the virus exists!?!" "yes, and did your family members die FROM or WITH covid?" "do you want the death certificates? i can send them." "please do." "now, you're just being unreasonable and crazy. I'm going to hang up now.").

long rant shortened, the government stopped being "of the people, by the people and for the people" a long time before Lincoln uttered those words and whatever you can imagine as the worst possible outcome for any event involving government has already been think-tanked, war-gamed, and focused-grouped to the point where they knew you would think of that scenario before you even knew of the crisis they would exploit being real and causing you to have that thought.

The next thing on their agenda is killing Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Veteran's Day is 11/11.

Something very bad is going to go down right around Veteran's Day that will rock your socks...no matter what state you're residing.

So where then is Shangri-la?

I found mine at 4000 feet along the ITCZ.

AMERICA...love it or leave it.

Well, it has turned to shit and I've never once loved shit.

Farewell y'all.

veterans' day is just about the mid-point between halloween and thanksgiving.

didn't biden recently invoke Oct 31 as the deadline to be injected before his patience runs out, or something like that? I am not fluent in "senior-abused dementia sufferer-ese" so I find him hard to follow most of the time.

Not my first rodeo. I'm already well liked and respected...and I've only been here since the 1st of the month. I learned how to do that years ago when I saw the writing on the wall back in 2009.

Returned to the USA for a few years to build up the bank again when Trump was elected.

But the steal cut my bank building short and I have returned to a place where I can watch the unfolding shit from the cheap seats.

I am leaving Hawaii to return to my birth state Oregon to make a stand in the mountains; there are a lot more conservatives than libs, taken as a whole. The place i am buying has acreage and a spring in a rural area. Hopefully i will be able to get there by next month. My spidey sense has been off the hook and it is time to get to where you want to make your stand.militia

Re: POLL: WOULD SPRING 2022 BE TOO LATE TO MOVE FROM a BLUE COVID STATE TO A RED FREE STATE?
Moving is relative to the obligations you have set in a community and with yourself. If you've owned a home for almost 2 decades and have pets, it's very difficult right now to move because you have to downgrade or move to a small town. I'm struggling with facing I need to get out of where I am, I've never been happy here. But finding the alternative is difficult to impossible. Right now I may settle on an hour outside of a city. I need to be near city culture and dress up and eat in a French restaurant once in a while.
I'm in a city right now and I'm bored with it. I believe most people should move every 5 years. I made the mistake of staying put twice 20 years and it's unhealthy.
If you don't own and just have to wait out a lease and move a few things it's a whole other ballgame.

I'm going to say that there are pockets of red and blue in every state. If you moved to a red state, you might find yourself in a blue area.

Take Michigan. Michigan is a red state. It is, however, controlled by the high population blue areas. Trust me, we people in the northern half of Michigan are NOT blue staters.
