Moving is relative to the obligations you have set in a community and with yourself. If you've owned a home for almost 2 decades and have pets, it's very difficult right now to move because you have to downgrade or move to a small town. I'm struggling with facing I need to get out of where I am, I've never been happy here. But finding the alternative is difficult to impossible. Right now I may settle on an hour outside of a city. I need to be near city culture and dress up and eat in a French restaurant once in a while.
I'm in a city right now and I'm bored with it. I believe most people should move every 5 years. I made the mistake of staying put twice 20 years and it's unhealthy.
If you don't own and just have to wait out a lease and move a few things it's a whole other ballgame.
