He promised them aid during the possibility of war. If the dems thought Trump to be THAT unhinged, they should have had him removed via the 25th amendment, which they DID NOT DO. That is what is REQUIRED by the constitution as the SOLE REMEDY in a case like that. There would already have been calls and demands for impeachment for Trump, they couldn't pull a 25th on Trump because he could have aced the Cognitive ability test, and they knew it.
