He promised them aid during the possibility of war. If the dems thought Trump to be THAT unhinged, they should have had him removed via the 25th amendment, which they DID NOT DO. That is what is REQUIRED by the constitution as the SOLE REMEDY in a case like that. He was intimindated by Trump. Generals don't like that. They are used to everyone (civilians too) brown nosing them. It starts about the Major stage. Some guys (and gals) get over it, but most don't. Some even start acting that way when they are Colonels.
