Most people here on Earth are too weak. They are being consumed by the Minds who operate the character avatars you think are real people.

They are strong enough not to fear the reprisal from taking the free-will of another. They are dominating the other minds like The Borg taking over. They will win. No one stops them because they did not grow strong enough to do so.

If you could not resist The Group and The Collective they owned you and you just ended up an extension of them. You can see who those people are because they never come up with an original idea.

That is their weakness. That is why they fail and never end up with True Infinite Existence.

Creating a soft paradise for everyone will doom them to extinction.

You have hit on the question of questions:

How can you create a realistic paradise for everyone, and not have them turn soft?

I believe I can solve that riddle. I believe many people on this EArth could solve that riddle. I don't think that question has been widely, publicly posed before. I think if we did meditate on that question as a society, we'd find answers.

In short, how can we avoid this generational cycle?:

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Again, by merely becoming aware of that cycle, we start to avoid it. Are all sons and daughters born into rich families flabby and lazy? No. Many are not. In fact, you'll see that the rich are often trim and healthy. I rarely saw a fatty on Dragon's Den or Shark Tank.

From memory, a Dune scholar said something like: "When you make a species aware of it's future, that species starts to act in unpredictable ways."

The question is also posed in Dune:

The conflict between humanity's stated desire for peace and their actual need for volatility was the strong central theme of the entire Dune series.

^ That is a solvable riddle.

When you solve it, you walk The Shining Path.
