The hieros gamos the holy union the sacred marriage. The Egyptian book of life and death talks about this in particular as being the pinnacle act one can perform in their lifetime.

The divine union of the masculine and feminine natures of each man and woman. Becoming whole. The only person we ever truly know in our lifetime is ourselves. Those around us will always be a mirror for where we are at inside our temples. Even a union in the physical between a man and woman is temporary. The hieros gamos is eternally present. The other half that we feel we lack..is already within us...we become whole by acknowledging and reaching out to that side of ourselves
Integrating it and making it one with us.

Shadow work because a lot of times that other half is hidden behind what we repress and fight. That which needs to be brought to the light and healed and integrated fully. Then we know wholeness and peace. Then we can truly hear the voice of our god and our lover.

Can you do me a favor and explain the difference between love OVER will and Love UNDER will. I am honestly having trouble with this. As I understand the will to be the most important factor hence free will. I admit openly my heart is not fully activated yet. A lot of past trauma has made that baby tight in most circumstances outside my immediate family and very close circle of trusted friends. I am currently working on that though.
