I wish to comment briefly upon some ancestry-related comments being posted here, and the responses. Clearly there are a few individuals here whose ancestry stretches back to the Seven Provinces comprising the Netherlands about 500 years ago (the 7 provinces were Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Geldeland, Overijssel, Friesland, and Groningen). I won't even TRY to do a major historical rundown here, but.....suffice it to say that various factors over most of the 1500's finally allowed the Netherlands to find its place in the world. They stole Portugal's navigation documents to Indonesia, then sailed over there and blew the Portuguese trading ships to pieces, became the wealthiest people in the world for a time, and in practical terms, settled America before the English (yeah, that English colony in Virginia came earlier, but basically failed). They brought money, hard work, skill, and cleverness, and some historians have correctly stated that if just a couple things had gone the other way back then, the USA would be a Dutch-speaking republic rather than English.

When I lived in MA I was amazed at how many ILLEGAL Immigrants were receiving very specialized trade training and I saw them at my Gentrified apartment complex where I lived temporarily. I noticed a lot of illegals working the grounds, etc. as well and I wondered how this could be? Then I discovered something more disturbing; they were being asked to spy on tenants parking over hours or pets breaking rules where to pee, etc., The towing companies were coming regularly and I quickly figured out the racket. The illegals on the ground told the Real Estate manager when cars were parked over time, the Manager called the towing company and towed cars for like $200 and everyone got kickbacks. Dogs peeing where they shouldn't was a $75 fine. Another racket; so I confronted the illegal who spied and ratted me and my dog out for peeing and asked him for his identity and legal work status and the Real Estate manager went nuts on me. I said I am paying how much to live here?? (Boston) and you are standing by an Illegal Immigrant? how do they even get to work here without papers? A Contracting service he said, they are part of a contract service and they deal with the immigration. Luckily for us all the sleazebucket Manager got caught emailing and sexually harassing pretty tenant women and he got fired and then all the illegals left. This is how our country works now, it's all about "getting us" any and every which way possible!
