Why do 99% of the movies use Christ's name as a swear word?

I noticed this too. It's every single movie.

Netflix even has 'Satanism' as a tag people can search.

You can escape it if you watch a nature channel. I'm sure they'll work that in somehow, like instead of: "CRIKEY, HAVE A LOOK AT THAT!" it'll be Jesus' name.

Yes, I've noticed it for several years and it's getting worse. And yes, I change the channel because it offends me. The second most used swear word is "g*d damn! Also offensive. Hollywood hates Christians. When is the last time you heard the Muslim religion being mocked in a movie or on TV? Why is it only Christians?

It is a disease. Too many people remain "blinded" by this world and get angry when you invite them to challenge their own beliefs and start to think differently.

Because many Christians have been taught to turn the other cheek and perverted that into basically wearing a sign which says, "I'm your doormat, step on me forever."

As for Muslims, you're probably well aware of the "cartoon fiasco" which led to violence. It seems like it's always violence with many Muslims. Jesus said something to the effect of "My kingdom is not of this world."

The Bible says we should live in the world and not of the world. That doesn't mean we have to roll over and let most media walk all over us.

Then again, think how much freer it would be for the mind, body, spirit to be Amish. Our minds bring up quotes from media, song lyrics from secular corrupted songs and so much more. It really is sad.

You are so right. I grew up in rural Montana and we didn't even have a TV in the house until I was 12 years old. And then it was two channels, black and white, and the channels went off the air around 11 pm :) We watched very little tv, and sometimes God or Jesus would be mentioned in a respectful way. I feel sorry for those 30 years and younger who have been pummeled with dark messaging their whole lives. Like you said, so sad.

it is like this in every culture, in Greece they would say the Gods name in the same, or shiva in india. or something as a curse way but its not really a curse. if a muslim says allah every five seconds, if he hits his thumb, if he is late, they are like bismillah, in the name of Allah. how is that different than saying for christ's sake or jesus christ leave me alone
