Just went to Urgent care...
I just went to a Satellite Hospital of Henry Ford HCS for an urgent care visit. I thought I had an ear infection, but turns out TMJ.

But that's not important, here was my experience:

No mention of Vax, at all. Not one peep.

No screening at the door except for "Hey bro, any symptoms?" No temp gun, nothing. Fair question, happy to answer.

Mask? Sure. Didn't expect otherwise.

The Dr. made no mention of anything Covid at all.

Was totally treated with respect and humanity at an otherwise dark time in our society.

Just a quick report from the streets. Metro Detroit, Michigan.

Urgent Cares are a better alternative to some local hospital Emergency departments.

I've had good experiences with them. Unless you go to a Level One Trans Center you are not to spend hours in a waiting room and have a negative overall experience.

Same thing here. I had to go to the ER because I got in a patch of ticks.

I made a thread last night.

Anyway, no questions about covid. I noticed the employees who came in during a shift change had to get screened, none had a mask on when they came in and got one from the desk

Kind of odd considering we locked down the world for a virus and no mention of it in the ER

Crazy

Urgent care is pay at the door care. They act better as word of mouth can hurt them. They are used to seeing a ton of people who stay mainly outside of the current wicked medical system that only seeks to kill people with covid vaccines rather than doing the right things and treating them properly.

Meanwhile in MO I went to see a chiropractor to get acupuncture the woman at the front desk (Behind their plastic screen) was masked up comes out into my area and said they wanted to SCREEN me for the commie cold. I said what does that mean you want to take my temp? She said Yes and ask a couple questions. I had no mask and I just said You all are supposed to do holistic type care, I chose to come here as I get enough of this stuff with regular clinics/doctors. I said I am healthy and I cannot believe you all here are being fearful. Then I said I am sorry buy you cannot help me. Then I left

Couldnt agree more. Urgent care centers are very professional and are usually staffed by experienced nurses and doctors fed up with the BS at hospitals.

Yes,, I’ve found urgent care much more customer service oriented.

The temp taking is more performative than preventative and reasonable people are seeing this. Same with excessive hand sanitizing.

Yes but the MDs and nurses are being forced to get the jab or they will be fired. As a result, they are low on health care workers. The whole system is in trouble.

I'm in Macomb Co., have to go in for a regularly scheduled appt. every two months at Beaumont, the only vaxx they've ever asked me about was the Flu shot, to which I always say eff off.

They're actually not allowed to talk about it unless you ask due to the fact that, contrary to what's been reported, it is not approved by the FDA for anything other than emergency use. Your own PCP can't say anything unless you ask, and they're definitely not allowed to give it to you even if requested.

Re: Just went to Urgent care...
Took my kid to urgent care in Ohio, sore throat and we wanted to rule out strep. This was 2 weeks ago

Was almost empty

Was asked if we were vaccinated (told them no, we're going to wait a bit, though honestly we have no intention of getting it)

We weren't tested or offered a vax, no mention of covid at all besides asking if we were vaxxed

Kid was diagnosed with allergies and prescribed otc allergy meds

I was a little shocked

They have to be extra nice now, as they're losing staff due to the vaccine mandate.

[link to www.detroitnews.com (secure)]

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System has trimmed 120 beds from its five hospitals because there aren't enough nurses or other workers to staff them, health system officials said Monday.

Michigan has been grappling with a shortage of hospital employees after a grueling year and a half of pandemic service that caused some workers to quit or retire earlier than they'd planned on.

I have to say, I went to the va clinic expecting to be harassed. I'm guessing some other vetss before me set them straight because the doctor asked if I had the vaccine, and before I could answer he said "no is an acceptable answer here btw" and that was the last it was mentioned.
