Those water fountains reminds me
of when I was a kid in Baltimore.
They had separate EVERYTHING for the blacks.
They went to the back of the streetcar.
Montgomery Ward, I remember, on Monroe St
had a bathroom for the whites, and another for
the "coloreds".
We called them the colored people,
not blacks or that other word you can't say,
similar to the (n-word).
If somebody got mad at them, or about them,
there was a whole dictionary full of words
for them, though.:bad_smile:
