there is no way - no how - not ever possible - that 5 miles or even 50 miles of landslide would ever decimate multiple of thousands of
miles of coastline
no way - no how - it is not remotely possible
more energy can NOT come out of what is put in
relax and sleep tight - coastal areas across the ocean will not be affected one bit

Am I right??? a close & limited area may have damage yes but other than the evacuation of close by areas the cost and effort to ameliorate would be more than the cleanup & rebuild But what guarantees life-saving here? Becomes important. If every Island has a population of let say 10K and I know there are 10+ islands, the best way seems to me is the article. Still, I may be wrong. Let the right answers come from the right person. We can not go and do it but can give suggestions for sure. They will consider mine, consider yours and let them decide what should they do. Or you can add your idea to it too.
