In 2017 the carnaval in Canaries was won by a drag queen act that depicted a drag Queen dressed as the Virgin Mary who them proceded to strip on stage and say things that some considered blasphemous. And a drag Queen semi naked on an upright cross presumably depicting Jesus Crucified and saying things considered by some blasphemous.

There was a mass in reparation for this celebrated in the Cathedral in Canaries in March 2017 such was the outcry.

And a court case also was presented for alleged blasphemy that was however not admitted to Court.

This family I mention had a gut feeling this would cause Divine Retribution and left the Canaries.
