No more fiat money, Gold Standard will end all that nonsense that got us in the situation we are in for the past 50 years. Borrowing, and borrowing, and consuming without replenishing assets, is not sustainable.

For all those who thought China had some kind of grand plan with building all those ghost cities.

Nope.

They just printed money and handed it out to real estate developers that built something. Anything. Anywhere.

And so they built.

"If you build it, people will come".

They didn't.

Shiny new empty cities rotted away for lack of maintenance. And now we see the inevitable end result.

Bailout followed by slowish collapse for China, just like the US.

Last time I was in Italy the only resources left was marble. And that was limited. Even hunting was limited to sparrows, no actual game. Tourism has died, especially with Covid.

8 billion humans have consumed most of the resources and those cannot be replaces. Thus the chip shortages. All humans need 1 acre each to live a healthy life. In many places 1000 are crammed into 2000 square feet of vertical living space with no sun or air.

We have used up all those resources. The only thing left is gold and silver, and only the wealthy have those.

This story is confirming a suspicion I have about who is really manipulating and using China for the fall guy.
It's all about who is going to control the coming AI internet of things, and there's a certain country that has no intention to share that power.

CCP has now deployed police and military to safeguard all of Evergrande's offices nationwide, and will arrest any protesters. They have also banned margin calls on Evergrande by all of their creditors.

Now the CCP will split up all of Evergrande's assets in order to force all the billionaires in the country to purchase them, basically asking for a bail-in. Months ago they've already banned real estate prices from falling, and also restricting people from what real estate they can purchase.

The CCP has printed a ton of money to infuse into the markets already. But the counterparty risks are so high I don't think they can stop the collapse.

All the western popcorn eaters and Chinese peanuts eaters can all just sit back and watch this slow motion train wreck starting to speed up.

Evergrande is about over building. empty buildings in a recession no growth china's economy is a problem going forward

300 billion is nothing. China can print that up easy. I don't know why someone here made a big deal over than number. 300 billion printed, is only a fraction of what they're already printing up annually, like 3 trillion.
