I agree with you. I went through delusions myself until I realized since my memory is swiped everything is hearsay or mind speculation at best

I disagree. Importance is relative to each persons situation. My family and kids need time around for now so in this regard I’m important. My job also needs me right now as no one else can do what I do. I think everyone is important in some regard and if not that’s really sad.

But I learned, mostly because I wanted to.

In my experience people will use the term 'ego' when they want you to be a doormat or they want to control you
