The four races are attributed to the four men who got off the ark.

Noah was red and is the red horsemen
Shem was white and is the white horsemen
Ham was black and is the black horsemen
Japheth was pale(yellow) and is the pale horsemen.

God choose these four men to be the 4 horsemen because they are veterans of world endings.
