This has coincided with property prices exploding in Melbourne and Sydney over the past 3 years - for no good reason. They say it's just Chinese however, thousands of high worth individuals from all over have been moving down there. It doesn't add up.

The Dutch government already has thousands of new low-level police for COVID fines (BOAs they call them, yeah, scary, like the bloody snake!) - and - just read this morning on the MSM here, they want to hire 5-7,000 MORE!

In other words, they are not backing down, but ramping up!

They didn't even bother to create an apocalyptic scenarios of people dying...they close the country for two deaths.

However, Aussies are to blame for allowing this to go on for so long. They are a fairly stupid and non-intellectual people. I always seek the company of Europeans, British Islanders included, Nth. and Sth. Americans. Aussies just listen to the MSM news and obey unquestioningly like bovines. Aussies think their silly football is the greatest game on earth and they are the world's greatest sportspeople. They ridiculed American's right to bear arms but look at them now: hunted down by the criminal police force (the 1st Aussie police force comprised of released convicts so the culture comes from those criminal elements).

I don't know where to from here as we can't even leave this prison island. I'd go to Europe where you can drive or just walk to a different country if things become bad.

Extreme noncompliance in a large swath of ordinary political outlooks. Two, extreme compliance with anything which grants real world benefits (such as freedom of speech, pursue of.liberty, etc) rather than political ideals that are in the abstract and which mean nothing in the grander scheme of things.

An intelligent yet intense polarization towards the extremities of what it takes to preserve the "humanities" in everything and anyone.

Sorry to hear. I always found Aussies smart. But these were Aussie in the US or EU. I've never been down there. Got to NZ. Was shocked to learn that about 50% of the people wanted OFF that island! (If nature is not your thing, you're stuck in the middle of no where)

Anyway, hang in there. This will soon be endemic everywhere and as common as the flu, with likely the same mortality rates. They can't keep this going on forever - people, where ever, will freak out.

Australian cities have rotted from the core. The inner city population turned into soy guzzling hipster softcocks who submitted without question. The suburbs are full of bogans like the builders who have protested, these are the people who have suffered the most. The country people have either avoided lockdowns altogether or if the have faced restrictions, it's been easy bend the rules due to less law enforcement in large open country.

Australian governments have always been highly authoritarian and quite corrupt.

They are just showing their true colors. Don't expect anything else from the malevolent forces who control Australia.
