Literally one of the best artists to come out of the past 10 years in terms of music, fashion, and pop culture. The fact that she sold out 100% was so disappointing to so many. It's very similar to Jack White selling out back in 2004 when he came to Nashville. And she's not a supermodel that's a lie. She has collaborated with fashion designers; she is very tiny petite and has a lovely face. She's a serious producer and musician who did attend college and is from an upper middle class Canadian family. When I found out her long time manger died I got spooked and stopped paying attention. Apparently ALL of them are part of it. Anyone in the mainstream. It broke my heart I can't sing anymore because of it. It hurts. She's a trash billionaire celebrity pop star. I am a professional musician with many years in the game, the key to a good critic is to not have a dog in the fight, in other words to leave your own personal tastes at the door, having said that, here is my take on this video, i didn't listen to all of it..i just wanted to see the basic musical framework and the visual production... musically she is playing to a certain group of people, mostly young women like her, who like this type of sound, visually the video is rather attractive because she is petite and clothes wear well on thin women, the video seems to be a wandering of her in different locations with basic ideas, so like i said...this type of deal is directed to a certain crowd...young women...who by the way are a big group in the music consumer market worldwide... |
