One thing that is very neat is the relationship between the meter and the so called Egyptian Royal Cubit. The Royal cubit is exactly the length of an arc of 1/6th of the circumference of 1 meter of diameter, or said in other terms, pi/6.

One of the implications of knowing the meter, is that, as it was defined by the French scientists that “invented it”, it’s a 1/40.000.000 of the Earth’s perimeter, so, the ancient global civilization had to know this dimension, somehow.
