Debts of $300 Billion! Boom! The economic powerhouse that is China is demanding that large, state sponsored companies buy up Evergrande’s stock and prop it up. Failing that, word is that China will take control of the company, nationalize it and cover the debt. This is why no one is really panicking at this moment. The news IS grim but China would never allow one company to collapse their economy. They would sell off US Tbills as a last resort before allowing that to happen. Better the US dollar become worthless rather than billions of chinese people lose everything and turn on the government in rage. Or maybe.. that is the plan all along? Use Evergrande as a specific reason why they are destroying the US dollar and send the US economy into free fall, then shrug their shoulders and say: “we had no other choice!” Meanwhile they move on Taiwan militarily while the US is too busy dealing with keeping order at home and trying to prop the dollar and markets from becoming one huge domino collapse. It would be a great strategy, but would be very dangerous to pull off without taking the world into another global war. *Somnium* |
