New Smoke Alarms Going Off Randomly Night and Day - Strange Stuff
Not sure what the heck is going on. It's a new combo smoke and 10 year sealed lithium battery carbon detector that keeps going on/off randomly.

Now here's the kicker. It's the 3rd one we've installed there within the past year. Something is activating these damn things, but what is the question. The reason it's there is the central location of the house, so it services multiple rooms. I've even opened and closed doors, check air flow, temperature fluctuations, even put a ladder up and did a smell test close to the ceiling area, and found nothing.

It's getting old fast, and especially at night or when we're sleeping.

wtf

I'm definitely using the warranties, the issue is just that one spot. I have 4 alarms throughout the house, all the same, and have even switched the 4 out to that hallway; always seems to be the same issue. I may end up abandoning that area altogether.

We've never had a problem in the last 30 years with detectors being there. smh

steam from a bathroom, if there are particulates in the air (like dusty near a wood work shop, any thing that is a particulate in the air will set those buggers off, not just smoke.

We've check all that. No steam, dust, bugs, temperature, chemicals it's when there is nothing going on at all too. And just that one spot.

When I got my new furnace, installer asked me if I wanted it hooked up to internet to which I replied "not on my life".

Maybe all these made in China furnaces are going to start pumping out Carbon Monoxide at some point? If CO detectors and fire alarms are going off, maybe to get people to disconnect?
