Not been able to prep, little money, shelves in stores emptying? Some advice.
Some people can't prep,no money or space and now see shelves in stores emptying, prices rising.Food banks under pressure can't supply much.

My advice would be before anything else buy various stock cubes, bouillon, have chicken, vegetable and beef.

With this even if there is no other food,in a real pinch you can drink one cube in hot water.Even if you can only find a can of beans, you can make a nourishing soup which can serve more people than eating it solid.

Also try to get honey, it keeps in a jar better then sugar, tea, when things are really tight have one day only tea, the next the soup.

If you know how to make soup then when you are able to get rice, meat, freh vegetables, include these.

Start eating very frugally now and use any spare money no matter how little, to buy cans of soup, tuna, tomatoes, fruit vegetables.Keep these, even one drawer of such goods may see you through a few weeks.

Rice and beans is relatively cheap. As for storage, most people have space under their beds and sofa's. Get some flat storage bins for under the bed, and fill them up !

there is no such thing as no space...

if you have no space you have too much shit thats useless and of no benefit...

all that shit taking up space...sell the crap...

if you cant use your crap in a grid down no power world then sell it...

now you have space and money to go prep...

fucking morons...cant even figure out easy solutions...

Rice, beans, cartons of ramen packets, particularly if you have any sort of a Chinese grocery store within driving distance.

Wheat, baking powder, yeast, salt, beans and rice. You will need a hand operated grinder for grinding the wheat. Eggs keep for a long time 2-3 months.
Start eating less or better yet go on the “Master Cleanse” fast. This will enable you to prepare financially and physically.

Add to this Peanut Butter, jams and butter.

Buy the salt and spices. Makes all food taste better and offers variety. You can have all the rice and beans in the world but eventually you will not want to eat it.

I got a few five gallon food grade buckets from lowes and then filled them with rice, beans/lentils/peas and pasta. It didn't cost that much and you can buy a some every time you shop. Even starting late, it shouldn't take long to build up at least a month or two worth of food.

Try Asian markets. If you can't buy bags of rice then SHTF already and you're not prepping anymore but trying to survive.

Five gallon food grade buckets, used, can be gotten from a Walmart bakery department for $1. Comes with lid. Wash thoroughly and reuse. Costco gives away 3 and 5 gallon used food grade buckets for free.

Arrive mid morning before they are gone. I have been doing this for years.

Well then you're up the proverbial creek.. but hey open your picture album and look back at all the fun times you had in the past and all the events, birthday parties, and things you did when you should have been prepping.. Those memories will keep you smiling when you're wondering where the next meal is.

Nothing scared me more to the reality of prepping than the Movie "The Pianist" and seeing how bad things got for him especially there at the end when he was in the destroyed house up in the attic with one can of Pickles and how important that one can was to him as he was fighting for survival from both hunger and the Germans.

Sadly this is where most people are these days. I know so many people who never prepped and now they see how real things are and yet they have nothing. A few years ago they were still bragging of the parties they went to, the new clothes they got, their nice car, or their new cell phone.. yet you mention prepping and they looked at you like you were crazy, now they are knocking on your door.

Beans, rice, salt, salsa, boullion cubes, tea, bleach. Water can't be overlooked.

Done.
Then get canned spinach, fruit, and you're good to go.

I have several dozen 5 gallon buckets and I'm currently cleaning out about 8 of them and getting ready to store beans in them. I'm so thankful I live in the country and have food preps, water collection systems, livestock, tools, and wide open land.

I give thanks to God for giving me the foresight into prepping and working on what I have to care for my family.
