20 lbs bag of rice and beans is still dirt cheap.

If you can't buy bags of rice then SHTF already and you're not prepping anymore but trying to survive.Sadly this is where most people are these days. I know so many people who never prepped and now they see how real things are and yet they have nothing. A few years ago they were still bragging of the parties they went to, the new clothes they got, their nice car, or their new cell phone.. yet you mention prepping and they looked at you like you were crazy, now they are knocking on your door. I've never so much as worried about what the next person has or can seemingly do (holidays, restaurants, entertainment). I've slowly but surely, and very cheaply put a lot of what I feel I would need, together. Anyone knocking on my door after doing nothing when all the signs were there, will be warned once, and then shot...
