Italy shall shake so badly
That the city of Rome will be destroyed
Mount Etna is about to erupt
And the whole volcano will sink
Into the ocean
This is a prophecy of Nostradamus
In accordance with the Holy scriptures

When Rome is destroyed the Muslims shall evoke the Saints of Saints with the war cry
Allah Akbar god is great the war cry of the Holy jihad

They will come to revive the terrifying gods
Of the Cathagian

Revelation
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Most of us just cannot up and leave, but others have already because they have relatives, an RV or left on a vacation. For the rest of us, we wait. We will have a minimum of 5 hours and a max of about 7-8 before it hits. That is why we have the two main thread(s) and watchers 27/7.
Should you wish to be added to a call list, you can go onto the main thread with many pages and simply ask. I believe it is "White Angel" who is taking the numbers privately.
Also within this thread there is mentioned a skye group which is also for emergency info when/if this happens.
Utilize these means if you worry that you may miss something.

I repeat, Is this a cat thread or a volcano thread?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80742982

You were not here when the cat and then another cat, walking very close to the Volcano-cam with lava and fire in the background?
Pitch-black in the wee hours of the morning... so, to me, it is about both - about a volcanic island and it's resident animals, abandoned roosters, feral cats, dogs, other things, people, ... lies

I hope people have rescued them all by now, but, you know, being scared and burned by folks, catsthey DONT REALLY TRUST HUMAN BEINGS. They see what they DO TO THEM. Maybe that is why they are thinking they are better off with the VOLCANIC ERUPTION...

any bettors yet? Guesses are now,Oct 29th, and Nov 1 their time, Samhain night our East coast time... activities Oct 31 around midnight

If not then other guess is Thanksgiving American style, Fortuna, Perserphone, Demeter, Diana and JANUS/CHAOS/APOLLO/Zeus/SATURN/CHRONOS/EL/BAAL HAMMON,ADAD...

25 NOVEMBER, maybe including the day AFTER ( Black FREYdei)

Steely Dan.

When black Friday comes,
I'm gonna dig myself a HOLE;
I'm gonna lay down in it til I satisfy my SOUL...

we've all dug the hole while the guns were pointed at us so to speak
Now, East Coast even NYC folks are getting the picture a little late, but better than never

Run to the hills! "

Posted this on the longer thread this morning
A nd before for those dates

I think you are safe,

But if it happens being on panhandle is fine, if you start early enough, you drive out of there up to safe states. Bring a bicycle just in case

Watch out the world stock markets, I believe they are done, over !

I expect a panic selling wave over the cryptos, as soon as some big stake holders will wake up to that looming calamity, before the tsunami impact, later on, after the disaster will be factual, there will be a global bank run as many zombie banks will bite the dust, crushed by the tremendous domino effect chain reaction brought by the destruction of NYC/Wall street.

Re: Cumbre Vieja La Palma Volcano - In the interest of preparedness for East coast cities - Evac info:
That is good information if there is a 3 mile wide asteroid going to splash down in the middle of the Atlantic but there won't be an 800 foot wall of water that will hit the east coast. After a big landslide there will be a big wave but is will rapidly dissipate as it radiates outward as it move forward. At worst case it would be 80 feet but probably more like 30 to 40 feet. There will surely be a lot of coastal damage and you should evacuate but 25 mile should be more than enough to escape the water.

That's what most of us want, is Doom boner to just wimp out. lolsign

But being Scots-Irish, clan motto has always been 'hope for the best, prepare for the worst.' We're a dour bunch actually.

Being an old Brownie/Girl Scout from way back when, I'm mindful of my surroundings. A lot of folks have suffered from wolcano fatigue since it started 9/11 w/ quakes. And a lot of folks just suffer from normalcy bias.

And that usually kills a person quick unfortunately.

Not according to the research by Steven Ward (Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, University of California, Santa Cruz) and Simon Day (Benfield Greig Hazard Research Centre, Department of Geological Sciences, University College, London). In 2001, Ward and Day put forward a scientific paper showing how that the entire western flank of La Palma will eventually give way and it could happen during any future eruption. Ward and Day's research, which took other examples of this phenomenon into account, suggested that the impact of this lateral collapse would generate a wave which could reach a local amplitude of between 650 to 1500 meters. This wave would then rapidly travel westwards reaching a speed of approximately 720kph. Although it would diminish in size by the time it made landfall on the eastern seaboard of America, it could still be as high as 50 meters with enough energy to travel up to 25km inland. In comparison with this projected scenario, the Indian Ocean tsunami that occurred in 2004, reached a height of only 24m at Bandeh Aceh – the region worst affected by the disaster, which was totally obliterated: [link to websites.pmc.ucsc.edu (secure)]

Concerning lateral collapses in general, it is also important to note:

"Collapse may follow instability development arising from a single, discrete, event, such as a crypto-dome intrusion, or may be the end-product of progressive destabilization over a long period of time..." [link to sp.lyellcollection.org (secure)]

Re: Cumbre Vieja La Palma Volcano - In the interest of preparedness for East coast cities - Evac info:
I Object! writes:

" '... for a tsunami to get to OVER Niagara Falls and get into Lake Erie the tsunami would have to come in nearly 700 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to Montreal via the St. Lawrance River, then climb up a couple of hundred feet into Lake Ontario, go across Lake Ontario (another 190 miles) and then go up and over the Niagara Escarpment another 300+ feet in elevation in order to reach Lake Erie.' "

I live in southwestern Ontario and about a 90-minute drive away from the Niagara Escarpment. About 30 years ago, I lived in a southern Ontario city that sat right on the Escarpment.

Most parts of the eastern part of southern Ontario are already about 600 to 700 feet above sea level. The areas that are right at lake level - places like Toronto, its surrounding suburbs and nearby Hamilton, would get severely flooded if not wiped out. So would Buffalo, New York.

However, in many places near Hamilton, the escarpment can reach heights as great as 750 feet above lake level, so the escarpment would prevent most of the tidal surge from reaching Lake Erie.

Lake Erie water levels would definitely rise, though, because the area immediately surrounding Niagara Falls would act as a sluiceway that would effectively create a new riverine connection between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

How far they would rise is the $64,000 question.

Montreal itself would probably be completely wiped out by a tidal surge coming down the St. Lawrence River, if the surge was large enough and strong enough.

Nevetherless, if the tidal wave will reach the eastern seaboard of the US and Canada in eight hours or less, nobody will be able to evacuate in time.

In southwestern and south-central Ontario, there is pretty much only one major route that will take you deep into northern Ontario and to safety, and that is Highway 400 which starts in Toronto and ends up as Highway 69 (Trans-Canada Highway) which is a two-lane highway.

In the summer months, when people go north to stay at their cottages, Highway 400 can barely handle cottage-country traffic as it is.

So imagine several million cars all trying to get into Toronto to access Highway 400, on top of existing Toronto traffic in an effort to flee the impending flood.
