Quoting: sunnycal i agree..most 'professionals' i know are waiting until the deadline or as close as possible hoping something will change... these are people with families and kids who don't want to do it, but also can't just find work that easily as they are well paid.. the large majority don't want to do it, but feel threatened becasue well they have kids and a house.. some people aren't in that position and can ride this out for a variety of reasons. it is sickening the coercion and threats that these companies and government are trying to impose on normal working people who just do their job. |

Let's be optimistic. We can do without large segments of federal government workers. I truly believe half the people working in the swamp are redundant Healthcare workers are another story. We may have a few weeks of chaos with hospitals trying to deal with staff shortages Local officials and hospitals could very well capitulate. Imagine if they admitted that this vaccine isn't going to prevent anybody from catching it! Just a question of them deciding if they want to play hardball. They could act like Australia and send cops out in body armor to chase people down and jab needles in them. THE GREAT REPLACEMENT ( foreigners replacing American workers). migrant replacement won't work for example for someone who has a four year degree in chem engineering, and works for a big chem company.. or a blue collar middle class guy who runs the machine shop and fixes the pumps in a plant? you can't train a border jumper that stuff in 2 weeks. it's years of experience these people have who are average middle class workers with TONS of experience. we already have enough problems replacing the older ones who actually know how to run a plant or manufacturing place.. most people these days 4 year degrees in engineering or not, cannot do any things 'hands on' for the life of them. definitely not low IQ border jumpers can fill these jobs. yeah, mcdonalds and shit, but not what im talking about above |

This is NOT true. National guard is a part time job. If someone works as a full time nurse at a hospital and also the guard, and gets pulled by the guard, what do you think happens to the hoapital that just lost that nurse? That isnt a +1... Likewise, there is a lot of education for healthcare pros. Onboarding takes time and there is also months of preceptoring. You dont just walk onto a unit and start working. Each hospital runs different Electronic Charting systems that staff HAS to learn... Even if only 20% walk, the system is destroyed. Nursing staff are already 2x-3x over propper staff to patient ratios and i have seen up to $170 an hour emegency shift pay, and $25,000 contract signing bonuses. If you need anything done... get it done before the mandates kick in. |

I’ve used this analogy for years, as I experienced it firsthand in corporate America: Imagine 10 people, all in a room as the ceiling begins to collapse. 3 people are 6 feet tall. 3 are 5 foot 5, and 4 are five feet. Each person has the free will to leave at any time Who holds the ceiling up if all the people are differing heights? The tallest 3. How long do they hold it before giving up?
