Black Monday, October 19th 1987, Stock Market dropped 22.6%!
In the five years leading up to the crash, the market had tripled in value. On that day it dropped 508 points, which doesn't sound like a lot, but the total DOW value was in the upper 2400's. The DOW today is worth 34,000 points. An equivalent drop today would be a loss of 7,684 points!

Keep in mind that the great depression in 1929 was also in October--on October 29th, black Monday that year, the market dropped 13% in one day. On Tuesday, it dropped another 12%.

I noticed in another thread, they said the market was going to drop on October 18th. Looked it up and that is also a Monday!

For reference, the DOW was at 19,827 the day Trump was sworn in Jan 20, 2017. It's gone up 13k points in under 5 years while our debt has exploded.

In 2008 during the recession, Obama signed the 750 billion stimulus package, the total debt was just over 10 trillion. It's only 13 years later and the debt is close to 29 trillion. [link to www.usdebtclock.org (secure)]

The central planners are cryptic bastards. I would not be surprised if it crashes on Monday the 18th

Yeah, there are a lot of nervous people each October. Eventually TSHTF and we keep inching closer to that day. This month, next month, May - it's going to happen before too long.
