My breakfast sandwich:

Two eggs, yolks broken in egg rings cooking in my cast iron skillet.

A few drops of hot sauce, salt and pepper. Garlic and onion powder too. Just a little.

I add bacon and cheddar cheese and I brown the insides of two English muffins in another skillet with olive oil or butter.

Combine into 2 sandwiches and dip them into ketchup while drinking coffee.

Some of your breakfasts sound great, I'm jealous. My breakfast is boring.

I eat organic oatmeal I buy in 25lb bags and about 1/3 cup of plain dry roasted peanuts.

Along with a pot of green / black tea.

After getting very unhealthy a few years back I had to revert to basic foods, no gluten.

I am very sad to reiterate that this contest had closed.

Especially sad, because it was not a good idea in the first place. It hurt my heart and my stomach to not be able to give out, like, 30 memberships.

All these posts, even the most recent ones, are so very damn deliciously good.

This was a bad idea. And I will never do this again.

(Totally worth it, though ;)

I know the feeling. I've given out loads of upgrades thru the years, and while it's good for the ones that get them, I always feel bad for the ones that don't.

My favorite breakfast is served at a local restaurant. It comes served in an oval cast iron skillet.

It consists of deep-fried cubes of potatoes, crispy on the outside and tender in the middle, topped with 2 eggs cooked the way you want I prefer my eggs scrambled they serve them light and fluffy. The eggs are then topped with cheddar cheese melted on top. Then on top is a beautifully cooked beer-battered large walleye fillet. It comes with hollandaise sauce that is so tasty. It is also served with your choice of toast.

It is so good and filling and addictive. All for the the price of $10. It is the best breakfast I have ever had.

I know the contest is closed, but sharing anyway.

Eggs over medium fried in coconut oil, extra crispy bacon, and sourdough toast well toasted, with real butter.

I haven't had it in forever because I eat a lot cheaper these days, but yeah. Maybe for Christmas or Thanksgiving!

Swedish crepes. With a side of bacon, of course.

Love the butter and lingonberries.

I obviously don't need an upgrade. Just love breakfast food.

My mom made the best bread. I'll have to see if she remembers the recipe. It was so moist even when it was toasted.

She couldn't see very well so she didn't like cooking but she was really good at baking though.

Always use real butter.

Okay, here's my final pick. This was not easy, folks.

2 pcs of cinnamon raisin bread French toast golden brown

2 farm fresh eggs yummy side up

3 pieces of thick sliced bacon chewy almost crispy

3 cups coffee strong with 1 oz half and half

Cigarette and GLP.

I used to work at a Holiday Inn breakfast buffet. They were training me to be a bartender there so I needed to know how to use their computer software. They started me at what they called the Hostess station in the restaurant to learn how to use the computer. The bone heads I worked with would non-jokingly refer to me as the hostess instead of the host. I was always correcting them. I would have been less annoyed if they were kidding. This was in Tennessee and they called shopping carts "buggies" and all sodas "Cokes". They also called winter hats "toboggans" for some reason.

After breakfast was awesome because you could help yourself to the buffet.

I had a few growing up. The snow had to be very packed to use them. I wondered if the people in Tennessee used to call their winter hats "toboggan hats" and somehow over time it was abbreviated to "toboggans".

I hope she remembers the recipe. My parents took me to their friend's cabin once when I was really young and they made all their dinners from scratch. Probably grew all their own ingredients too. They made us kids the best homemade pizza I've ever had. I guess that was a one time experience for me.

Fossy! Going to miss you, my friend. I left an overly long reply to one of your random posts on some random thread... prolly lost in the e-ther by now. (Which is to say I can't remember which hread it was. But it was about the writing process, and maybe someday you'll find it. *Edit = the thread, not the process. You already have the process :)

Very proud of you, btw, and pleased to know you on GLP. You are the only other writer who has shared your stuff with me. Please please please keep it up!

Your writing is sexy (no offense), suspenseful, and has cool sentences and good dialog. We need more Fossy stories!

The coolest thing about your writing is that the reader gets the sense you're having fun while you're writing it. Maybe that isn't the case, but it sure comes off that way.
